My bike room is about to get a make over.
No I’m not painting it. No carpet or tile flooring. No wallpaper.. …
I’m moving it all together. What good news… I’m finally moving.
My original plan was to move closer to the city where I work. This was nixed due to employment contracts having to be signed and no action on our current home.
By chance, while on a bicycle dinner date. We found our new home. Pedaling around town on our way to the trailhead we passed it. It was exactly what I wanted and best of all 2 blocks from our local singletrack. Could it get any better? Oh yeah, best schools in town.
In the end it all worked out. We sold our house, bought the one we wanted and all in less than 30 days. Moving this week will be nuts, (I hate moving) but it’s only to the other side of town.
The idea of being able to ride 2 blocks to our trails instead of 6 miles is rad. Can you say yeah saddle time. I missed the woods so much.. I will now be that much closer to them.

Anyone out there in Scottsdale? Or know a good bike shop in the area? I’m heading out there for business in Oct and want to get some trail riding in. I’ll be in Orlando the same month… maybe a road ride there? Most importantly…. singletrack in the desert. I have never done this. .. help me out..

Location, location, location. You’ll love the house site. We are smack dab in the middle of Kingdom Trails up in East Burke and it is a good life. I tend to go strictly road riding all summer, but fall finds me going into the woods a lot more often. Enjoy the new house.

I have been trying to make it to Kingdom Trails for a while now. Hoping to do so this fall. ALl I hear is wonderful things about the area.
