A Day off plus nice weather equals
a road ride. It was said the temperature would reach 39 today, I never saw it get above 36. It was sunnt and windy (20 mph) as Hell. None of which mattered. It felt great to be out on my bike. Even if it was a my cross bike with no front derailleur and a 46 tooth chainring.
My ride looked something like this:

For sure a short trip outside. Unable to hold a high speed due to my reduced gearing; it took me about 1:40 to complete. I’m still ok with that. I have been having a hard time getting past 20 minutes indoors that any amount of time (speed) spent outside is welcomed.
The ride was an easy one, but once the snow is gone they will look more like this:

The snow looks to be melting away. With a month of full on winter left anything can happen. However the top of the orchard shows hope and signs of spring around the corner.

If you look closely, in the backround (to the right) is the mountain I will climb once a week once the snow is gone. ouch to say the least.

Almost there. Waiting for a crankset to arrive at the shop. Can’t wait to ride it, it’s lighter than last year. Thanks mostly to the Zipps.

Allright, got out for a road ride, good for you, I can’t stand it. I’ve been off the bike for a week, physically and mentally recovering, but since everyone else is riding, I’ll ride today, supposed to get to 50 deg today with cool wind, but I’m ready, I’m liking your wheels, maybe they’ll move you up a notch.
good to ya!
