Dogs and bikes don’t mix
I have had my share of run ins with dogs over the years. Some would say I hate dogs. However it is not the dogs, it is the asshole owners. Dogs are lesser animals after all.
I have been chased down, bit multiple times and harassed time and time again. Did I tell you about the time I was riding my daughter, (who was 1 at the time) up a hill in a childs seat when a dog bit my leg and would let go. I was on a singlespeed going uphill and had to continue to pedal as the dog bit and wpuld not release. Once I got away the owner of said dog rushed it into thier house and said nothing to me… asshole! Don’t even get me started about the time my neighbors dog attacked me in my yard.. when I defended myself he then wanted to fight and threatened my life.
Which brings me to my rant this mornng. I walked out of my house at 5:40 am this morning to the sound of a dog barking at me. It snowed yesterday so this dog, (which was white) was well camouflaged. I looked around franticly to see where the hell the barking was coming from. By the time I saw the dog it was lunging at me, barking and being aggressive. I hate this moment.. because all I can think of is how I am going to prevent a bite. I had one thing with me. The case I use when I provide on-site support.

I apologize for the crummy pic.
I came pretty close to hitting the dog with my case a few times, (it was a less than a meter from me). Rushing to get into my car so I wouldn’t have to. I kept telling myself if the owner took proper care the dog wouldn’t even be here. Which kind of makes it the owners fault. Not the stupid ass dogs.
I am on a mission. .I will buy bear repellant and spray the next dog that comes near me. Even if it’s tail is wagging.
This video always gets me also. People.. when you go to an event where sports are invloved. Leave the dogs at home. Do you really have to bring them everywhere with you?
